4 Extra Time Goals Turn £2 18-Fold Acca into £505,984.88

Football Betslip

You’ll struggle to find an acca win much more impressive than this.

Not only did the Ladbrokes customer correctly predict the result of EIGHTEEN different football games, but the bet came seconds away from crashing and burning four times before last minute goals rescued it – including the very last match on the betslip.

A spokesperson from Ladbrokes sounded almost as excited as the punter must have been:

“Quite simply, we’ve never seen anything like this. Our plucky punter must not have any fingernails left after Saturday’s late drama. Turning two quid into half a million… it might just be the best winning acca story of all-time!”

The full amount won was £505,984.88 from just a £2 stake – not even enough to buy a meal deal from Tesco!

The betslip looked like this:

  1. Spain to beat Albania – 2/11
  2. Netherlands to beat Denmark – 10/11
  3. Qatar to beat Bulgaria – 5/6
  4. England to beat Switzerland – 7/10
  5. Germany to beat Israel – 1/8
  6. Colchester to beat Tranmere – 6/4
  7. Mansfield v Oldham – 5/6
  8. Port Vale to beat Sutton – 10/11
  9. Harrogate to beat Scunthorpe – EVS
  10. Northampton to beat Hartlepool – 21/20
  11. Salford City to beat Walsall – 11/10
  12. Gillingham to beat Accrington – 15/4
  13. Cambridge Utd to beat AFC Wimbledon – 13/5
  14. Charlton to beat Doncaster – 19/20
  15. Ipswich to beat Plymouth – 4/5
  16. Sheff Wed to beat Cheltenham – 1/2
  17. Shrewsbury to beat Lincoln – 21/20
  18. Mauritania to beat Mozambique – 13/10

In total, these 18 selections made combined odds of 252,991/1.

Extra Time Winners

The bets were placed on games in League 1, League 2, and a few international friendlies in March of 2022, and plenty of games looked like acca killers.

England, Sheffield Wednesday and Salford and fell behind before coming back to equalise and then going on to win, which must have been disheartening enough, but when you consider that 4 of the matches were going the wrong way until the dying moments of the game and the punter must have been climbing the walls.

The very first bet on the ticket was one of them, with Spain taking 75 minutes to score against Albania, who only went and pulled one back 10 minutes later and with their first shot on target too. A 90th minute winner from Olmo kept the bet alive, but it was just a taste of what was to come.

Meanwhile, in Colchester the U’s were drawing 0-0 with Tranmere until the 5th minute of extra time when 18 year old Junior Tchamadeu scored his first goal for the club, absolutely walloping a high ball into the net and falling over in celebration.

A similar situation was occurring in Oldham as the home side were holding level at 1-1 with Mansfield, until another goal in the 5th minute of extra time put the away team ahead and won them the match.

Mauritania Football EmblemIt was the final game on the ticket though, Mauritania vs Mozambique, which must have had the punter really sweating.

Mauritania had been 1-0 ahead since the 18th minute, which would have been enough to see the acca win, but a 90th minute equalizer from Mozambique looked to do the unthinkable and destroy the bet literally in its last few minutes.

What’s worse, is that Laddies had offered £400k to settle the bet early, and the bettor had refused.

Then, after 2 minutes of extra time, an unknown defender named Lamine Ba who was making his international debut, managed to tap the ball past the keeper during a very scrappy free kick, making it 2-1, and making our punter over half a million pounds richer.

The goal might have been messy, but the winning bet was very tidy indeed.
